3. Why I Want To Study At MMU

I attended one of the open days during October 2011. I have visited and stayed in Manchester numerous times and have always loved the city. One of the key things that attracted me to the course was the passion shown by the tutor during the presentation of the course, the passion he showed was something I feel I can replicate. From what I have gathered in looking into Manchester Metropolitan University I have heard only positive things from current students. Also the idea that the course focuses the creative side over the technical side is something that appeals to me.
Another thing that has attracted me to this course is the opportunities that are available in terms of working as a team and on an individual level. Personally I feel that I work strongest as part of a team as that's what I am most used to, however believe that I could grow and become equally good at working as an individual in due time. I also like the prospect of working in different roles in the production team, as I would like to get a grasp of all aspects of the production process and then move on and become a specialist in a couple of areas.
Something that stood out to me was the 90% of art, design and architecture graduates going straight into employment or further education is terrific and makes me feel that this university strives for the success of its students. This combined with the influx of the BBC into Manchester makes it a stand out university.
Overall I feel the passion of the tutors, the amazing facilities and the fantastic opportunities inside and outside of the university are the key reasons that I was attracted to this course.
